Something I have always wanted to do, and then on one holiday I was told that I could try it in the pool, but wouldn't be allowed out to the sea due to my asthma, (I wish I kept my mouth shut!). Anyway, after returning home, I went to the doctors, obtained the necessary certificates and learnt to dive properly, with my final exam taking place in Stoney Cove in Leicestershire. A great place, but freezing cold and visibility of about 2 or 3 meters.
Since qualifying, I've dived in Maui & The Big Island in Hawaii and in Mauritius. Highly recommended if you get a chance.!!!!
